I go jogging every day".

For example: "Bungee jumping is a dangerous sport".

"If you were a wink, I'd be a nod"

SO / SUCH

So y such se usan principalmente para enfatizar. Veamos algunos ejemplos:

This is such a nice place. (Este es un sitio tan agradable)

They are so intelligent! (Ellos son tan inteligentes!)

La estructura de las oraciones anteriores es:

such + (a/an) + adjetivo + nombre
such         a          nice           place

so + adjetivo
so    intelligent

It was such an interesting book that I couldn't put it down.

Paris is so beautiful that I'm going to go back next month.

It's not so hot. (No hace tanto calor) >< It's so hot! (Hace tanto calor)

He's not such an interesting man. (No es un hombre tan interesante)
                   ><
He's such an interesting man.

Tropical storm Irene swept through the New York City area on Sunday morning lacking anywhere near the force that had been feared, but still             power to more than a million people, toppling trees and causing sporadic flooding in some parts of the city.
Though the storm packed                winds and heavy rain, it never dealt the kind of punch that forecasters had feared. There were no reports of major                     to skyscrapers, for instance, and officials said the flooding appeared to be limited. People            anxious that they would see destruction out their windows, only to find a scene more typical after a major summer storm.
Still, even after the storm was downgraded to a tropical storm as it                   the Eastern Seaboard, it tossed floodwater onto the coastline of New Jersey and New York. The National Hurricane Center said the storm made landfall near Little Egg Inlet, north of Atlantic City, shortly after 5:30 a.m., and made it to New York City by about 9 a.m.
Flooding was reported around the five                   , with the storm surge overcoming sea walls in several places around the city. In Staten Island, several dozen people had to be                        from homes that had filled with water.
In New Jersey, more than half a million customers were                  power on Sunday, and the state’s largest utility, the Public Service Electric and Gas Company,                     that it could take as long as a week to restore electricity to all its customers. Connecticut Light & Power said 267,000                   had lost power.

Gogol Bordello - Wonderlust King

Back in the day yo" as we learned
A man was not considered to be
Considered to be fully grown
Has he not gone beyond the hills
Has he not crossed the 7 seas
Yeah, 7 seas at least!

Now all them jokers kept around
Just like the scarecrows in hometown
Yeah, scarecrows in hometown
From screen to screen they're travelin'
But I'm a wonderlust king

I stay on the run
Let me out
Let me be gone
In the world's beat up road sign
I saw new history of time...
New history of time!!!

Through Siberian woods
Breaking up their neck

Chinese moving in building discoteques

Transiberian sex toys and what a nut
Yeah, and why not?
Well at least it's something different
From what they got in every other airport

Ja ne evrei, no koje-chto pohozge
sovrat ne dast ni Yura ni Seryozga!
Simple because I'm not a total gadjo
Da ja shut, ja tziratch, nu tak stozge?

I traveled the world
Looking for understanding
Of the times that we live in
Hunting and gathering first hand information
Challenging definitions of sin

I traveled the world
Looking for lovers
Of the ultimate beauty
But never settled in
I'm Wonderlust King!

And presidents
And billionaires
And generals
They'll never know
What I have owned!
What I have owned...
I'm a wonderlust king!

Holidays OR Holiday

Mañana de me voy de vacaciones: Tomorrow I'm going on holiday. NO "holidays"

¡ Estoy de vacaciones!: I'm on holiday! NO "holidays"

I usually take my holidays in July. (Normalmente me tomo vacaciones en Julio)

I will never forget the wonderful holidays I had last year.

**Ahora, compara:

John gets back from his holiday tomorrow. (John vuelve de sus vacaciones mañana)
His holidays finish tomorrow.  (Sus vacaciones terminan mañana)

Last year I didn't use up two days of my holidays, so I've got two day's holiday outstanding.

TO BE ON HOLIDAY (estar de vacaciones)

TO GO ON HOLIDAY (irse de vacaciones)

Have good holidays!
