Before the exam:
It helps to feel as well-prepared as possible. As well as thinking about the subjects you are revising, it can be useful to pay attention to practical aspects of the exam. Find out where it is scheduled to take place and how long it will take you to get there. It's a good idea to go and look at the room/building so that it feels more familiar. Make sure you know the rules and regulations about what you can take into the exam room etc.
Put yourself into a positive frame of mind by imagining how you would LIKE things to go. Imagine yourself turning up for the exam feeling confident and relaxed - try to picture it in as much detail as possible. Rather like rehearsing for a part in a play, this can replace negative, anxious thoughts with more positive ones.
In the exam:
Take a deep breath in and a long breath out. Breathe in again and straighten your back - as if someone were pulling a lever between your shoulder blades. Look straight ahead at something inanimate (the wall, a picture, the clock...) and focus your mind on the positive thought 'I CAN DO this exam' as you breathe out.
Anxiety management techniques:
Thought-stopping technique
When we become anxious we begin to have negative thoughts ('I can't answer anything', 'I'm going to panic' etc). If this is happening, halt the spiralling thoughts by mentally shouting 'STOP!'. Or picture a road STOP sign, or traffic lights on red.
Use a mantra
Derived from meditation, a mantra is a word or phrase which you repeat to yourself. Saying something like 'calm' or 'relax' under your breath or in your head, over and over again, can help defuse anxiety.

- Not at all.
- Don't mention it. (podría traducirse por "no se merecen")
- A pleasure. ("un placer")
- Anytime.

"She never knows how to break the ice when she meets someone new"
" I missed the bus but thanks to that I met the love of my life"
3) To be or feel under the weather (encontrarse mal).
"He can't work today, he's feeling under the weather"
4) To bucket down (diluviar).
"It's bucketing down, we can't go to the beach today"
5) To save for a rainy day (ahorrar para tiempos peores).

La historia de....
Keep
Calm and Carry On was a propaganda poster produced by the British government in 1939 during the beginning of the Second
World War, intended to raise
the morale of the British public in the
aftermath of widely predicted mass air attacks on major cities. It had
only limited distribution with no public display, and thus was little known.
The poster was rediscovered in 2000, has been re-issued by a number of private companies,
and has been used as the decorative theme for a range of products.

Las Fallas - in English! -
Las Fallas is surely the loudest, most riotous and possibly the most hazardous festival in Europe. Valencia’s penchant for celebrating its patron saint – the Virgen de los Desamparados – with bonfires, burning effigies of politicians and celebrities, fireworks and enormous explosions is a deafening, but exhilarating experience.

(Events fixed on a timetable)
Aquí tienes algunos ejemplos:
The train leaveS at 5 pm. (El tren sale a las 5 de la tarde).
The film startS at 9 pm.
The flight to Brighton takeS off at 11 am.

- Days of the week (días de la semana): Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday.
- Months of the year (meses del año): January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December.
- The names of languages (los idiomas) and nationalities (nacionalidad): English, Spanish, French, German...
- El pronombre sujeto "I" (yo). " When I am on holiday, I never check my email."

CAE (Advanced) Nivel C1
CFE (First) Nivel B2
PET (Preliminary) Nivel B1
